A young woman ends up in purgatory on a deserted holiday island. While searching for a way out she stumbles across other lonely souls, which seem to be stuck there for an eternity, guarding a mysterious secret.

ROMAN TOULANY

German-Iranian film director, screenwriter and painter. Born in 1987 in Cologne, DE. He completed his master studies in screenwriting at HMS, Hamburg. Studying painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich in the class of Prof. Markus Oehlen. His short “Happy Jesus” (2020) won the Gutmensch Film Competition 2021, Caritas. His short drama “Life Was Good in Libya” (2021) participated in the Short Film Corner of the Cannes IFF. International premiere of his feature debut “Ghost Island” took place at the Moscow IFF this year.
