Director, scriptwriter, he was born and brought up in Yellapura, small town in the Western Ghats in Karnataka. He studied journalism at the Dharwad University in Karmataka. His two shorts, “The Crab” and “Distant”, screened in many national and international film festivals. Many of his short stories were published in major kannada magazines. “Pedro” is his debut feature length film which was short listed for Directors Fortnight Cannes 2020 but the festival was cancelled due to COVID-19. Its world premiere took place at the Busan IFF in the New Currents Competition 2021.
